I was born in Athens and I grew up in Piraeus, overviewing the sea. I wanted to interact and work with people since I was very young and that is why I studied Social Work at Technological Institute of Athens. Later, I attended a training course on Dramatherapy at “Athirma” a Greek Institute of Playtherapy and Dramatherapy. I have attended a series of seminars about psychology and psychological problems. I have been working in Public Social Institutes and Special Therapy Centers for almost 14 years. I have treated as a professional different groups of people such as mentally retarded, elderly, lonely and psychologically unstable people of all ages. At present, I have been working at the Municipality of Piraeus and I am a freelance at the Therapeutic Centers “Ellogon” and “Mythia”. In 2017, I wrote the fairytale “The journey of a tiny, little scribble” that is published by Kondyli Publications. I am an official member of the PanHellenic Profession Union of Dramatherapists and Playtherapists (PADP) and EAP (European Association for Psychotherapy).

Aristea Kontrafouri
Actress, Play Therapist, Dramatherapist

Aristea Kontrafouri graduated with honors from Nelly Karra’s Drama School. She continued her education with studies in special education, play therapy at ATHYRMA and dramatherapy at HERMA. Some of the highlights of her career: core team member of the Experimental Scene of the NATIONAL THEATRE OF GREECE and the visual puppet theatre PRASΕIN ALOGA, columnist at KATHIMERINI newspaper, director and performer in fairytales of Christos Bouliotis and associate of the day centre LITHARAKI of the Attica Paediatric Hospital for autistic and psychotic children. Today she is a founding member of the psychomotor development venue TO NIMA, drama teacher at HERMA, coordinator of the play theatre group VERY SPECIAL ARTS HELLAS and member of EAP and PADP. She is also being trained clinically in the treatment of complex trauma through NARM and studies at the Department of Social Theology and the Study of Religion of the NKUA.

M.A Dramatherapist/Supervisor, Tel Hai Academic College Israel
Former director of a Dramatherapy training program in the Tel Aviv branch of Tel Hai Academic College. Teaches in the Drama Therapy Graduate Program at Tel Hai Academic College, (Galilee, Israel), and in, the Dramatherapy Institute of Switzerland. She works with families, children and adolescents in private practice, and trains and Social workers and educators who work with families and children in risk. She is the head of the Ethics Committee in YAHAT (the Association of Creative Arts Therapies in Israel).

Dr. Alexander-Stamatios Antoniou
Associate Professor of Psychology at N.K.U.A.
Alexander-Stamatios Antoniou, BA (Psych.), BA (Philos.), M.Ed., M.Phil., Ph.D(Psych.), Ph.D(Manag.), Ph.D(Philos.), C.Psychol is an Associate Professor of Psychology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens/NKUA, Greece and holds undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Psychology, Philosophy, Education and Management from universities in Greece and in the UK. Dr. Antoniou has received a number of awards and scholarships and he is a member of many scientific associations. He has participated as a national coordinator and as a researcher in many National and European research programmes. He has served as a scientific advisor in the National Committee of Radio-Television. His work has been presented at more than 250 national and international conferences. His main research interests include organizational psychology and behaviour, occupational health, leadership, work values, organisational politics, communication networks and special education. His publications (1.743 citations/ 9-12-2019) include: 5 books, 62 research papers in refereed academic journals, 174 chapters in edited books, 4 academic series (as director), 11 edited books (as editor/co-editor) and 36 translated books (psychology, education, medicine) into Greek.

Dr. Koutra Kleio

Dr. Koutra Kleio
Assistant Professor of Social Work Public Health at H.M.U.
Dr. Koutra Kleio is Assistant Professor at the Social Work Department of the Hellenic Mediterranean University. Her doctoral dissertation discusses the impact of social capital on students’ health behaviors from the perspective of Social Work. Since 1998, she had taught to the Department of Social Work the following courses: 1) Needs Assessment and Social Planning, 2) Intercultural Social Work, 3) Community Work – Methods of Intervention, 5) Elderly and Disabled People – Social Work Interventions. Coordinates and participates in a series of research projects focusing on diversity, health access of immigrants and indigenous people, and the transition from youth to adolescence. Her main research interests are in Community Social Work, social capital, diversity, health behaviors, addiction and youth, prevention and health promotion.

  • Coordinating Director of the Psychiatric Department of the General Hospital of Athens “G. Gennimatas”, initiating and being responsible for the establishment and function of a Psychotherapy Unit.
  • Educator in the Family Program of the Therapeutic Community “Strofi” – KETHEA.
  • Responsible for the newly established Prevention and Education Unit of the Organization Against Drugs (OKANA).
  • Expert in the Major Program for Educators’ Training under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, researcher, trainer and supervisor in multiple systems.
